Todd Heldt, Senior Executive Vice President of Factory Motor Parts (FMP) and a member of the Automotive Parts Associates (APA) Board of Directors, has been appointed to serve as a Governor-at-Large on the Aftermarket Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) Board of Governors.

The AWDA Board works closely with Auto Care Association leadership to shape legislative and regulatory initiatives that strengthen and protect the automotive aftermarket. The committee evaluates policies that may impact the industry and plays an active role in educating suppliers, distributors, and lawmakers on the issues that matter most.

Heldt shared his motivation for joining the Board, noting, “I wanted to make the playing field among distributors more even. I thank the Board for approving my nomination and I look forward to working with them.”

Founded in 1945, FMP delivers original equipment and name-brand automotive parts to independent service centers, dealerships, fleets, and wholesale customers. In his role as Senior Executive Vice President, Heldt oversees information technology, legal and real estate operations, and serves as President of the company’s SPLASH division.

“We’re always proud to see our shareholders take an active role in advancing the industry,” said Steve Tucker, President of APA. “Todd will be a valuable voice for his fellow APA shareholders and TruStar members. We appreciate his dedication and service.”
